We're a small outfit that makes gear for camping the way we actually do it — a couple tents, some friends, once a month whether the weather cooperates or not. Mostly we think a night outside does more for your head than most things you can buy — especially the kind where the phone stays in the pack. We can't sell you that part. We just make the stuff that goes with it.
Nothing against a good headlamp or an air pump — electricity is great. It's the scrolling we leave in the car. The stuff you write and keep should be paper: it works in the rain, with cold hands, and it never buzzes at you.
Everything we sell started as something we wished we'd had on an actual trip — usually around the second time the same thing annoyed us. If we wouldn't pack it ourselves, we don't make it.
Nothing we make should require experience to use — no jargon, no assumed knowledge. Simple enough for your first night out, worth keeping around for your hundredth.

Here's the deal: when we've got something unique to add, we'll make it and sell it to you. When somebody else already nailed it — a headlamp, a sleeping pad, a water filter — we'd rather just point you at theirs. We're keeping a running list of the gear that's survived years of monthly trips; it'll live here once it's written up properly.
Fair warning for when the list arrives: some links may be referral links that earn us a few bucks. Nothing gets on the list because of that — it gets on the list because we packed it twice.
Short version: when COVID shut the bars down, our friend group needed somewhere to hang out, so we started camping. Once a month, minimum, for years now. We kept a spreadsheet of every trip — sites, weather, who came, what broke — and one of us is a scuba diver who kept saying campers deserve a real logbook like divers have. Eventually that turned into a product, and the product turned into this. That's it. No trip to India.
